Understanding Our Home Delivery Area

We deliver free to most of Northwest Philadelphia - click on the map, or check our exact neighborhood boundaries below. If you are still uncertain, please contact us to confirm.

Important notes:

• We try to group delivery runs by neighborhood so we can’t promise a specific date.

• We deliver our books in paper bags so we need to be able to leave your book in a sheltered place if no one is home, like on a porch or inside a box or behind a storm door. We honor signs asking to leave packages with nearby neighbors. Very rarely, we arrive at an address and find no one home and nowhere to leave a book. In that case, we will bring your purchase back to the store and ask you to pick up from there.

• To protect books, we do not deliver on rainy days, and to protect ourselves, we don’t go inside buildings.

• If you live in an apartment building, we will leave packages in a sheltered vestibule or at a front desk, but if there is no one to buzz us past a security system or meet us at the front, and there is no sheltered spot we can access, we will not be able to deliver to you.

19144 - West, East, Central and Lower Germantown - we deliver everywhere within this zip code

19138 - East Germantown/Awbury/West Oak Lane - we deliver as far as Ogontz Avenue/Wyncote Ave/Wister St.

19150 - East Mt. Airy/Cedarbook- we deliver everywhere within this zip code

19118 - Chestnut Hill - we deliver to most of this zip code, up Germantown Ave as far as Chestnut Hill Avenue/Bethlehem Pike

19038 - Wyndmoor - we deliver within the large square[-ish] of Stenton Ave, Paper Mill Road across Patton Road to Cheltenham Ave, and across to Ivy Hill Road. On Willow Grove Ave we go as far as the 1500 block.

19129 - East Falls- we deliver as far as Route 1.

19128 - Lower Roxborough - we deliver out along Henry Ave and Ridge Ave as far as Leverington Ave / 6100 block. We don’t deliver lower down the hill than Manayunk Ave.
