Scott, a long-time Chestnut Hill resident, will be giving a reading, Q&A session, and signing for his book The Way In: What a Hospice Chaplain Learned Living with Parkinson’s, in Poetry and Prose.
Terry Stokes, editor of Earth and Altar magazine, wrote of one of the poems in the book, “‘The Siege of Jaffa’ is one of the most incredible pieces I’ve read for E&A. I felt that way even before the end made it clear that it was an allegory for Parkinson’s. I’m very moved by the way you are walking through this very difficult time, and I’m so honored that you’re choosing to spend some of it with us.”
