Dr. Chris Goldberg will be leading a special STEM reading and activity hour on Saturday, Feb. 18. He will read his new children's book, Aliyah and the STEMsational Problem Solvers: What's Cooking? and then will provide supplies for a fun STEM activity. All participants will receive a STEM bag of recyclable supplies and a bookmark from the "STEMsational Problem Solvers." Dr. Goldberg's book has drama, humor, and history as well as a STEM lesson, and is meant for all children aged 6 to 10 in hopes of advocating for STEM education for all. Some of the children in the neighborhood may know Dr. Goldberg since he is a part-time professor at Temple University and has spent time at nearby C.W. Henry School helping coach student teachers for the past 2 years at the school. Dr. Goldberg was a public school STEM teacher for 26 years and continues to work with students and teachers to help improve STEM education.
