Meet Gabriela Rodriguez Epstein, author-illustrator of books including Invisible, Claudia and the New Girl, and Good-bye Stacey, Good-bye!
Gabriela (she/her) is a New York Times bestselling cartoonist originally from Philly and now based in Austin, Texas. She made two graphic novel adaptations of The Baby-Sitters Club series and co-created the bilingual graphic novel Invisible for Scholastic. She also wrote and illustrated the comic continuation of the Danny Phantom TV show for Abrams, Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time.
Gabriela studied painting at the PA Academy of Fine Arts before transferring to Rhode Island School of Design. She graduated in 2016 with a BFA in illustration and went to work in animation as a character designer. She made the leap into publishing in 2018 and has been cartooning ever since.
