Come celebrate the release of local children’s author, Cheryl Lee-Owens, as she brings her new picture book to BBM! Cheryl will be reading from the book, as well as signing copies of the book following the event. Bring the whole family!

Cheryl Lee-Owens was a born storyteller. As a child she sneaked around listening to “grown folks business” and was mesmerized by their tales and gossip. That is where she learned to spin a tale and tell a story in the most dramatic way. In addition to being a Storyteller, Cheryl taught Special Needs students in underserved communities for over 34 years. She stands on human rights, social justice and equality and believes that change begins with just one. Cheryl helped create the KEESHA LUZ series to help youngsters feel uplifted, empowered and inspired to be change agents for future generations.
